We offer appointments Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, and on Fridays from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Reception hours may vary slightly, as our team typically takes a lunch break between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
We aim to make it as easy as possible to manage your dental care. Patients receive text or email reminders for upcoming appointments and recall exams. If you prefer a reminder by post or email only, please speak to our reception team to arrange this. Don’t forget to keep your contact details up to date so we can stay in touch.
We are pleased to welcome new patients, either as part of our dental plan or on a private pay-as-you-go basis.
We may also accept NHS patients, depending on current availability. Wherever possible, we aim to offer NHS care for children free of charge.

We reserve daily emergency slots to ensure prompt care when urgent treatment is needed.

For out-of-hours dental emergencies, please call the same number for further instructions.
We understand that life can be busy, and sometimes plans change. If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer the time to another patient.
Missed or late cancellations can significantly impact access for others, especially during periods of high demand. Prompt treatment often leads to better outcomes – early intervention is key in dental care.
Patients receiving NHS care who miss or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice on two occasions may no longer be eligible for further NHS appointments. You will be informed of this in writing after each missed appointment.
Private patients who miss or cancel late may be charged a fee, depending on the length of the appointment and at the discretion of the dentist.

We’re delighted to share some exciting news with our patients and community.
After 15 wonderful years under the leadership of Dr Heather Belfield, Bollington Dental Practice is entering a new chapter. Earlier this year, Dr Ellie Burrows joined us as our new principal dentist, and we are confident that the practice is in excellent hands. Some of you may have even met Ellie already!
Originally from Cheadle, Ellie graduated with honours from Liverpool University Dental School in 2020 and was awarded the Paediatric Dentistry Prize. She has since worked across the Cheshire area, caring for both NHS and private patients, and recently completed a postgraduate diploma in Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry to further refine her skills.
“I feel incredibly privileged to be leading such a well-loved and respected practice,” says Ellie. “I’m excited to continue the exceptional care that patients have come to expect from Dr Belfield and Dr King, and to build on their legacy with fresh ideas and continued investment in our team and technology.”
We’re also very pleased to share that Dr Heather Belfield remains a valued member of our team, ensuring continuity of care and familiar faces for our patients. Even our founder, Dr David King, has dropped by to say hello a few times, a lovely reminder of the deep roots this practice has in the Bollington community.
Looking ahead, Ellie is committed to enhancing your dental experience through investing in the latest technology and increasing our community involvement. Recent investments include a state-of-the-art intra-oral scanner to improve diagnostic precision and treatment comfort, and in-surgery TVs to help patients better understand their dental health. We’re also proud to support our community through new sponsorships of Bollington United Football Club youth teams and Bollington Cricket Club.
