Porcelain veneers cost from £650 per tooth. Each veneer is individually crafted in a laboratory to match the shape and shade you have agreed with your dentist, and you will receive a written treatment plan with the exact cost before treatment starts. All prices are on our fees page.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

Porcelain is the most durable and stain-resistant veneer material, typically lasting ten to fifteen years with good care. Unlike composite, porcelain holds its polish and colour over time, which is why it remains the premium choice for a long-term smile investment.

The process

Porcelain veneers take two or more visits: a consultation and preparation appointment where the teeth are shaped and impressions taken, then a fitting visit once the laboratory has crafted your veneers. In between you wear temporary veneers, so you are never left mid-treatment.

Porcelain or composite?

If you want a lower-cost, single-visit, largely reversible option, our composite veneers start from £225 per tooth. If you want maximum durability, stain resistance and the finest aesthetics, porcelain is worth the difference. We offer both, so our advice is genuinely impartial.

Combined treatments

Many patients choose to combine porcelain veneers with professional teeth whitening to ensure adjacent teeth match perfectly, or ClearCorrect® aligners to optimise tooth positioning before placing veneers.

What to expect

Consultation and planning: Your dentist will assess your smile, discuss goals, and take impressions or digital scans.
Tooth preparation: A small amount of enamel may be removed to allow the veneer to fit naturally.
Temporary veneers: In some cases, temporary veneers are fitted while the porcelain veneers are fabricated.
Fitting the veneers: Once ready, veneers are bonded to your teeth with strong dental cement, shaped, and polished for a natural finish.

Veneer placement is minimally invasive, and our experienced team will guide you at every step. Local anaesthetic is used when needed, and we ensure your comfort throughout the process.

I lost a filling on my front tooth last evening. I rang at 8.30am today, spoke to Sarah who was lovely ( as always). Appointment for 9.40am with Ellie and dental nurse(apologies for not remembering your name). By 10am it was all fixed and replaced and I was delighted with the results. Professional, friendly and efficient. You can’t ask for more than that.

Myself and my family have been coming to Bollington Dental Practice for years and to say they are great, is an understatement! My two children feel so comfortable in the practice and enjoy coming, which is a testament to everyone as we know how a lot of children can feel about visiting a dentist! They come in, make themselves at home and enjoy learning about their teeth and what the dentists are doing! Sarah the Practice Manager is absolutely brilliant, we have such a laugh when speaking with her, on the phone and in person and she’s always so welcoming and accommodating to fit all of our busy schedules in! Myself and my husband recently had a hygienist appointment with Molly and Deb who we haven’t been to before, who were just brilliant! Their knowledge and advice was second to none and again just an enjoyable experience with us chatting away the whole time! Thanks again everyone! X

I am one of those people who is genuinely frightened of going to the dentists, until its absolutely necessary.I used to see Mr King at BDP, who was so good at making me feel at ease and helping me get through any dental treatment. When Mr King retired I was reluctant to return to the practice.However I started to experience pain and had to attend and have treatment. Ellie Burrows was my allocated dentist.Ellie is the most amazing dentist, she takes time to explain each procedure , giving information in a clear and concise way. I was encouraged to ask questions and to take time to think about the treatment.Ellie gives injections that can't be felt going into your gums, she uses drills ( my biggest phobia ) like feathers.I really can't recommend her highly enough, and during a root canal treatment I managed to fall asleep.I think Debbie 🤔 is Ellie's dental assistant, she was also so welcoming and professional.I can't thank them enough and would recommend them for managing my fears and insecurities, and making my visits such a positive experience.Thank you Bollington dental practice x
