ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system made by Straumann, one of the world’s largest dental companies and a name best known for premium dental implants. Instead of fixed metal braces, your teeth are straightened by a series of thin, transparent plastic aligners, each one moving your teeth a fraction closer to their final position. They are almost invisible in normal conversation, and you take them out to eat, brush and floss.

2. Your digital plan. The movement of every tooth is planned digitally, and you see the projected end result before you commit.
3. Wearing the aligners. Each aligner is worn about 22 hours a day for one to two weeks, then you move to the next in the series. You visit us periodically so we can check progress.
4. Retention. When treatment finishes, a retainer keeps your new smile where it belongs.

What does ClearCorrect cost in the UK?

Clear aligner treatment in the UK typically costs between £1,500 for very minor corrections and £4,500 or more for complex cases. As with any quote, check what is included: aligners for both arches, refinement aligners if teeth need a little extra movement, and retainers at the end can all be quoted separately elsewhere.

How long does ClearCorrect treatment take?

Most cases take six to eighteen months, depending on how far your teeth need to move. Minor crowding or a small gap can be quicker; more complex cases take longer. You will get a realistic estimate at your consultation, based on your own teeth rather than an advert.

Does wearing clear aligners hurt?

You will feel pressure for a day or two each time you move to a new aligner, which is the treatment working. Most people describe it as tightness rather than pain, and it settles quickly. Aligners have no wires or brackets to rub your cheeks.

Can ClearCorrect close a gap between my front teeth?

Yes, closing gaps is one of the things clear aligners do best, along with straightening crowded or rotated front teeth. Larger bite problems sometimes need conventional orthodontics, and we will tell you honestly at the consultation which camp you fall into.

Do I have to wear a retainer afterwards?

Yes. Teeth drift back without one, whatever system straightened them. After treatment you will wear a retainer, typically just at night, to protect the result. Budget for this with any aligner provider; we will include it in your written plan.
