Where our patients travel from

Macclesfield

Ten minutes up the Silk Road or out through Tytherington, and you arrive somewhere with parking beside the door rather than a town centre car park to hunt for. Hundreds of Macclesfield patients make the trip, including plenty who moved to us from practices in town.

Prestbury and Tytherington

Around two and a half miles through the lanes, usually under ten minutes door to door, with no town traffic in either direction.

Poynton and Higher Poynton

About ten minutes south on the A523 and left at Adlington. If you walk or cycle the Middlewood Way, the route runs almost door to door.

Adlington

Five or six minutes along Street Lane, which makes us the nearest practice to much of the village.

Rainow and Kerridge

Five minutes down the B5470, or a twenty-minute walk over the hill past White Nancy if the weather is behaving. For most Rainow and Kerridge households we are simply the village dentist.

Disley, Newtown and High Lane

About fifteen minutes through Higher Poynton or over the lanes past Lyme Park, and usually quicker than heading north into Stockport.

Whaley Bridge, Kettleshulme and Furness Vale

Fifteen minutes west over the B5470, one of the better drives to a dental appointment anywhere in the country.

Frequently asked questions

Do you take patients from outside Bollington?

Yes, and most of our new patients come from outside the village. Macclesfield, Prestbury, Poynton, Rainow, Disley and Whaley Bridge are all well represented. New private patients are welcome; we are not able to take on new NHS adults at present, and we set out your NHS options honestly here.

Is it worth travelling for a dentist?

For a check-up twice a year, ten or fifteen minutes is a small price for unhurried appointments, published fees and a team who know you. Patients tell us the parking alone saves more time than the drive costs.

Can the whole family come at once?
